About Me

Hi. I'm Reven or Shay, whichever you prefer. Pronouns are she/they, please. I ID as a queer lesbian and aroacespec.I'm a 33 year old graduate who majored in anthropology with a minor in religious studies (primarily focused on magic, folklore, and mysticism). My intention is to soon go for my Masters. I am currently working with the federal government in Indigenous policy development and reconciliation focused community research and funding.This will come up. I love cultural analysis in my media.

I'm recently diagnosed with ADHD and have lived with general anxiety disorder and panic disorder most of my life. I am also chronically ill, suffering from a condition known as adenomyosis that can lead to brief absences due to lack of energy due to acute anemia and severe pain and discomfort.If you are unfamiliar with the disease I've linked a brief overview, but please feel free to ask me questions - I want to spread awareness and education of this condition, as it's not uncommon but still not well understood! I also have Grave's Disease (which flares up more than I'd care to admit) and I am undergoing further autoimmune testing and treatment. Recently my Graves’ has been more active and has caused some other issues so please be patient with me!
